Terms & Conditions
The terms you are agreeing to when you buy a part here or book work on your vehicle.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. About these terms
1.1 Who you are contracting with
You are contracting with Aarons Auto LLC DBA Olds Legend, an Indiana limited liability company trading as OldsLegend Auto Services and founded by Aaron Woodson. References in these terms to “we”, “us”, “our” and “Olds Legend” mean that company. References to “you”, “your” and “the customer” mean the person placing an order or authorising work.
Registered trading address: 5146 E 65th St, Indianapolis, IN 46220
Telephone: (317) 453-1085
Email: oldslegend@gmail.com
Opening hours: 10:00 to 17:00, appointment preferred
1.2 What these terms cover
These terms apply to two separate types of transaction:
- Part A applies to the purchase of parts and goods through this website.
- Part B applies to inspection, repair, restoration and other work carried out on your vehicle.
- Part C applies to both.
Where a section sits in Part A or Part B, it applies only to that type of transaction.
1.3 Acceptance
By placing an order on this website, booking an appointment, or signing or electronically accepting a Repair Authorization, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into a contract.
1.4 Other documents that form part of the agreement
These terms should be read together with:
- the Refund and Returns Policy;
- the Privacy Policy;
- the applicable written estimate;
- the Repair Authorization;
- the Vehicle Pick-Up and Storage Fee Notice; and
- the Legendary Warranty contract, where purchased.
1.5 Order of precedence
If there is any conflict between these terms and a document you have signed at the shop, the signed document prevails to the extent of the conflict. This applies in particular to the Repair Authorization and the Vehicle Pick-Up and Storage Fee Notice. You should read those documents before signing them.
The Legendary Warranty is a separate contract governed by its own terms, and those terms determine what is covered under it. Section 16 applies.
Part A: Parts purchased through this website
2. Prices and tax
2.1 Prices are stated in US dollars.
2.2 No sales tax is added at checkout. Olds Legend pays sales tax on the parts when it buys them, and the price shown to you already reflects that. The price you see is the price of the part.
2.3 The total shown on the order summary before payment is the amount payable.
3. Orders and acceptance
3.1 Placing an order is an offer to buy. It does not create a contract at the point of submission.
3.2 A contract is formed when we accept your order. Acceptance occurs when the part is dispatched or, for an item built to order, when we begin building it.
3.3 If we are unable to fulfil an order, or if a price displayed on the website was incorrect, we will notify you and refund you in full. We will not substitute an item you did not order.
4. Items built to order
4.1 Some items are manufactured to your specification rather than supplied from stock. This includes the 9″ Ford Housing and Axle Package. Powder coating adds additional working days to the lead time.
4.2 Lead times shown against a product are estimates given in good faith. They are not guarantees. We will notify you if a lead time changes.
5. Returns
5.1 An item built to order cannot be returned.
5.2 An electrical part cannot be returned, whether or not it was built to order.
5.3 The Cutlass A/C kit contains electrical components. The exclusion in clause 5.2 applies to the kit as a whole and not only to the electrical components within it.
5.4 The Refund and Returns Policy sets out the full returns position, including how to make a return and who pays return shipping. That policy forms part of these terms.
6. Payment
6.1 Payment is processed by Stripe. The payment methods available are those displayed at checkout and may include cards, digital wallets and pay-over-time plans.
6.2 Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s payment fields and are not received or stored by this website. The Privacy Policy sets out how payment data is handled.
6.3 Zelle is not available as a checkout method on this website. Any settlement by that method is arranged directly with the shop and recorded outside the website.
7. Delivery
7.1 Delivery options and charges are displayed at checkout.
7.2 Delivery estimates are stated in working days, run from the date of dispatch rather than the date of order, and are estimates rather than guarantees.
7.3 Free standard ground shipping. Orders of $200 or more qualify for free standard ground shipping. An order of exactly $200 qualifies.
7.4 The $200 threshold is measured on the value of the goods alone: before tax, and before any discount or referral credit is applied. Applying earned credit to an order does not remove eligibility for free shipping.
7.5 Expedited delivery services remain chargeable if selected.
7.6 Free standard ground shipping is an introductory offer and may be withdrawn or amended. The shipping charge displayed at checkout at the time you place your order is the charge that applies to that order.
7.7 Title to and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery to the address you supplied.
Part B: Work carried out on your vehicle
8. Booking
8.1 The booking form requests the year, make, model, engine, transmission, condition and presenting symptoms of the vehicle. This information is required so that we can respond with an initial assessment.
8.2 You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you supply, including the contact details we will use to notify you that the vehicle is ready for collection.
9. Estimates
9.1 Restoration work cannot be quoted without inspecting the vehicle. Larger work runs in phases:
- consultation and inspection;
- teardown, with findings photographed;
- a written phased estimate;
- the build, with progress photographs; and
- shakedown and handover.
A paid inspection or teardown assessment precedes any figure for phased work.
9.2 Every job receives a written estimate before work is undertaken. This applies to a single brake job or bolt-on upgrade as much as to a restoration. Smaller work does not require the phased process in clause 9.1, but it still concludes in a written figure before anything is dismantled. If you have not received a written estimate, the work has not been agreed.
9.3 An estimate is an estimate. If, once the vehicle is dismantled, we identify something that changes the estimate, we will stop and contact you before continuing. We do not carry out work you have not approved.
9.4 The written estimate is also the source of the labour hours used to calculate a late cancellation fee under clause 11. You should retain it.
10. Parts deposits
10.1 Every job requires a deposit for the parts that job needs. This applies to all work, including a single brake job.
10.2 The deposit is 100% of the cost of those parts. It purchases the parts outright and reserves your place in the workshop queue.
10.3 If the job is cancelled by either party, the parts purchased with your deposit are released to you and become your property, to retain, fit elsewhere or sell. The deposit is not refunded as money; it is satisfied by delivery of the goods it purchased.
10.4 Nothing in this clause is intended to operate as a penalty or to deprive either party of a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10.5 A late cancellation does not change the position on parts set out in this clause. It gives rise to a separate fee under clause 11.
11. Changing or cancelling an appointment
11.1 If you notify us 48 hours or more before the scheduled start of the work, no fee is payable. You may move the appointment or cancel it, and clause 10.3 applies to the parts.
11.2 If you cancel inside that window, a cancellation fee is payable. Clause 10.3 still applies to the parts. The fee relates to reserved bench time and not to the parts.
11.3 The term is as follows:
Cancellation Fee. If the customer cancels a scheduled repair appointment, or is unable to proceed with the scheduled work, less than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled start of the work, Olds Legend may charge a cancellation fee equal to the greater of:
(a) $75 multiplied by the estimated bench/labor hours stated in the written estimate for the affected work; or
(b) 10% of the quoted price of the affected job.The hours used for purposes of this calculation are the estimated labor/bench hours stated in the written estimate and are not determined by the length of a website booking slot.
The cancellation fee is intended to compensate Olds Legend for labor capacity reserved for the customer, scheduling disruption, preparation, and other losses associated with a late cancellation, and is not intended as a penalty.
11.4 How the fee is calculated. Both figures in clause 11.3 are calculated and the higher of the two is payable. Only one fee is charged. The 10% figure is measured against the whole quoted job, including both parts and labour.
11.5 Booking slots. This website books every job as a one-hour drop-off regardless of the work involved. That hour is scheduling time and is not bench time. It is never used to calculate the fee.
11.6 Verbal figures. A labour figure agreed verbally at the counter is not used to calculate the fee. The written estimate governs. If the written estimate states six hours of bench time, the fee is calculated on six hours irrespective of the length of the calendar slot.
11.7 Where no written labour hours exist. If no written estimate states the labour hours, limb (a) of clause 11.3 does not produce a figure and none is substituted. The fee is 10% of the quoted price of the job and nothing further. Clause 9.2 requires a written estimate for every job; this clause governs the position where one has not been provided.
11.8 Worked examples. These examples are illustrative only and do not vary the terms above.
| Scenario | Written labour hours | Quoted price | Limb (a): $75 × hours | Limb (b): 10% of quote | Fee payable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brake job | 4 | $900 | $300 | $90 | $300 |
| Restoration phase | 8 | $18,000 | $600 | $1,800 | $1,800 |
| Brake job, no written estimate | None stated | $900 | Not applicable | $90 | $90 |
11.9 The $75 rate. The $75 figure is the rate at which this fee is calculated. It is not a general shop labour rate, and this shop does not publish one. It is not the paint rate stated on the Build page, which is presently the same figure but may be varied independently of this clause. No other work is billed at $75 per hour by reason of this clause.
11.10 Cancellation by us. If we cancel the appointment, no cancellation fee is payable and clause 10.3 applies to the parts. The fee exists to cover a slot that cannot be re-booked at short notice, and does not arise where we are the party releasing the slot.
12. Warranty on labour and on parts we fit
12.1 The limited labour warranty is as follows:
Limited Labor Warranty. Olds Legend warrants its repair labor for six (6) months from the date the applicable repair is completed. If covered labor is determined to be defective during the warranty period, Olds Legend’s obligation under this limited warranty is limited, at Olds Legend’s option, to correcting or re-performing the affected labor.
This limited labor warranty does not cover parts unless Olds Legend expressly states otherwise in writing. Parts may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, if any, and any such manufacturer’s warranty will be subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
Nothing in this Limited Labor Warranty excludes, restricts, or limits any warranty, right, remedy, or protection that applicable law does not permit Olds Legend to exclude, restrict, or limit.
12.2 Parts. A part carries the warranty of its manufacturer, and no warranty is added by us. Where a part fails, the claim lies against the manufacturer. We will assist you in bringing that claim by confirming what was fitted and when and by producing the relevant invoice.
12.3 Clauses 12.1 and 12.2 operate independently. The workmanship is warranted by us for six months. The part is warranted by its manufacturer for whatever period that manufacturer states. The failure of a part is not a failure of the labour that fitted it, and clause 12.2 does not shorten or qualify the warranty in clause 12.1.
12.4 Fitting a warranty replacement. Where a part we fitted fails and the manufacturer supplies a replacement, the labour required to remove the failed part and fit the replacement is charged as ordinary labour, and the freight on the replacement part is payable by you. The Refund and Returns Policy states the same position on freight.
12.5 The distinction in practice:
| What happened | Who remedies it | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Our workmanship was defective | We correct or re-perform the labour | Nothing for the labour, under clause 12.1 |
| The part was defective | The manufacturer replaces the part | Freight on the replacement, plus the labour to fit it |
12.6 Consequential losses arising from a fault, including towing, vehicle hire, loss of use and lost earnings, are dealt with under clause 20 and not under this clause.
13. Collection of the vehicle and storage charges
13.1 You must collect the vehicle promptly once we notify you that it is ready.
13.2 The term is as follows:
Storage After Completion. The customer must collect the vehicle promptly after Olds Legend notifies the customer that the vehicle is ready for pickup. Storage charges of $30 per calendar day will begin 24 hours after Olds Legend’s notification that the vehicle is ready for pickup, unless a different written arrangement has been agreed to.
Storage charges are the customer’s responsibility regardless of whether the customer has received the notification by telephone, text message, email, or another agreed method, provided Olds Legend has sent the notification to the contact information supplied by the customer.
Storage charges are subject to any limits or requirements imposed by applicable law.
13.3 You sign a Vehicle Pick-Up and Storage Fee Notice at the shop covering these charges. That signed notice governs the charge, and prevails over this clause to the extent of any conflict.
14. Unpaid invoices, liens and unclaimed vehicles
14.1 It is our practice to send three payment reminders before pursuing a lien. This is a matter of shop practice and not a legal timetable, and it does not affect any notice or timing requirement imposed by Indiana law. Responding to a reminder, including to explain that you are unable to pay at present, will stop that process.
14.2 The terms are as follows:
Mechanic’s Lien. To the extent permitted by Indiana law, Olds Legend may assert and enforce a lien against a vehicle for unpaid charges arising from towing, repair, storage, servicing, labor, parts, materials, supplies, or other amounts for which a lien is available under applicable law.
Before taking action to enforce a lien, Olds Legend may send one or more payment reminders or demands for payment. The number or timing of such reminders does not limit or replace any notice, filing, timing, or other requirement imposed by Indiana law.
Any mechanic’s lien will be asserted, perfected, enforced, and foreclosed only in accordance with applicable Indiana law.
Unclaimed and Abandoned Vehicles. If a vehicle is not collected after Olds Legend has notified the customer that the vehicle is ready for pickup, storage charges may accrue as provided in these Terms and the applicable repair authorization.
If a vehicle remains unclaimed and charges remain unpaid, Olds Legend may exercise any rights available under applicable Indiana law, including applicable mechanic’s-lien and abandoned-vehicle procedures. Olds Legend will not dispose of, sell, transfer, or otherwise treat a vehicle as abandoned except in accordance with applicable law and any required notice and procedural requirements.
The customer’s failure to collect a vehicle does not itself transfer ownership of the vehicle to Olds Legend.
15. The Repair Authorization
15.1 The matters in this Part B are confirmed in writing before work begins. The document is the Repair Authorization. You sign it at the shop, and it governs the repair.
15.2 The term is as follows:
Repair Authorization and Shop Terms. By signing or electronically accepting this Repair Authorization, the customer confirms that the customer has received, reviewed, and agreed to the terms applicable to the repair, including the applicable estimate, parts deposit, cancellation fee, storage charges, warranty terms, payment obligations, and mechanic’s-lien provisions.
The customer acknowledges that these terms apply to the repair and storage of the customer’s vehicle even though the initial appointment may have been scheduled through Olds Legend’s website.
The customer agrees that electronic acceptance, including a checkbox or electronic signature associated with this Repair Authorization, has the same contractual effect as a handwritten signature to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15.3 Read the Repair Authorization before signing it. Where it differs from these terms, clause 1.5 applies and the signed form prevails.
16. The extended warranty product
16.1 The extended warranty described on the Legendary Warranty page is a separate contract with its own coverage, conditions and exclusions.
16.2 Those terms are reviewed with you before signature, and that contract, rather than this document, determines what is covered under it.
Part C: Terms applying to both
17. Referral programme
17.1 Members of the referral programme receive a referral link.
17.2 A person who arrives through your link is attributed to you for 60 days from their first visit.
17.3 Credit is issued once the referred customer’s order or job is complete.
17.4 The reward amount is the amount stated on the referrals page at the time of the referral.
17.5 Credit is store credit redeemable at this shop. It is not cash and is not redeemable for cash.
17.6 Self-referral, and placing an order under another name in order to claim credit, do not qualify.
18. Use of this website
18.1 The photographs, text and design on this website belong to OldsLegend Auto Services.
18.2 Payment and social media brand marks belong to their respective owners and are displayed to indicate the payment methods accepted at checkout and the platforms on which the shop posts.
18.3 You must not use this website for any unlawful purpose, to attack or disrupt it, or to scrape its contents wholesale.
19. Liability that we do not limit
19.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any other liability that Indiana law or federal consumer law does not permit a business to exclude or limit.
20. Limitation of liability
20.1 Subject to clause 19, the following limits apply:
Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Olds Legend’s liability arising out of or relating to a particular repair service or parts transaction shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the customer to Olds Legend for the specific repair service or part giving rise to the claim.
Exclusion of Certain Damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Olds Legend shall not be liable for incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of income, loss of business, or diminution in value, arising from or relating to a repair, service, part, or transaction. Nothing in this provision excludes or limits any damages or remedy that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude or limit.
20.2 In practical terms, the first limit is measured against the specific job or the specific part, and not against the value of the vehicle or the total you have spent with us. The second concerns losses that follow from a fault rather than the fault itself, such as towing, vehicle hire, storage elsewhere, a missed event, or a sale that did not complete.
20.3 This clause does not reduce the six-month labour warranty in clause 12.1 or any manufacturer’s warranty on a part.
21. Governing law and jurisdiction
21.1 These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the law of the State of Indiana.
21.2 The state and federal courts located in Indiana have jurisdiction over any such dispute.
22. Changes to these terms
22.1 We may amend these terms. The version that applies to your order or booking is the version published at the time you placed the order or made the booking.
23. General
23.1 Severability. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in force.
23.2 Waiver. A failure or delay in enforcing any provision of these terms is not a waiver of that provision or of any other.
23.3 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations on notice to you.
23.4 Entire agreement. These terms, together with the documents listed in clause 1.4, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to their subject matter and supersede any prior discussion or representation, save that nothing in this clause limits liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.
23.5 Events beyond our control. We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including supplier failure, carrier delay, industrial action, severe weather, fire, flood or interruption of utilities. We will notify you of the delay and, where the delay is substantial, you may cancel the affected order or booking; clauses 3.3 and 10.3 apply.
23.6 Notices. Notices to us should be sent to the address or email in clause 24. Notices to you are sent to the contact details you supplied at the time of order or booking.
23.7 Headings. Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
23.8 Third parties. These terms confer rights only on you and on us. No other person has a right to enforce them.
